Anti-Wear Coatings – HVOF Spraying for All Industries

Principle:

High-speed combustion of fuel and oxygen generates a supersonic flame, heating and accelerating powder particles, which then impact the workpiece at high speed to form a dense coating.

Core Advantages:

1. Dense coating with low porosity (<1%), providing strong corrosion resistance.

2. High bonding strength (70–100 MPa), preventing peeling.

3. Excellent hardness and wear resistance, suitable for spraying highly wear-resistant materials such as tungsten carbide.

4. Wide range of applicable materials; suitable for spraying metals, alloys, and cermet powders.

Typical Applications:

Wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant applications in various fields such as petroleum machinery, papermaking, mining machinery, textile machinery, steel, and metallurgy.

    Product Description

High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) is a high-end wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant strengthening process in the field of industrial surface engineering.

This process uses fuels such as kerosene and propane with high-pressure oxygen as a medium. The mixture is thoroughly mixed and intensely combusted in the combustion chamber of the spray gun, generating a high-speed flame with speeds exceeding Mach 5 (temperature 2600-3200℃). High-performance powders such as tungsten carbide and nickel-based alloys are fed into the flame, where they are instantly melted and accelerated to ultra-high speeds of 500-800 m/s. This powerful kinetic energy impacts the workpiece surface, forming an extremely dense and highly adhesive functional coating through a combination of metallurgical bonding and mechanical adhesion.

Customized specifically for core wear parts of petroleum machinery (plugs, valve seats, gates, valve cores, valve discs, etc.), it is perfectly adapted to the extreme working conditions of drilling, well workover, and oil and gas transportation, such as high pressure impact, sand-containing mud erosion, acid and alkali corrosion, and high temperature friction. It solves the problems of rapid wear, short life and seal failure of parts from the root, and is the core surface treatment solution to improve the reliability of petroleum machinery equipment.

    Product Features

    1. Superior Wear and Erosion Resistance:
The coating boasts a hardness of HRC75, resisting high-speed erosion from rock cuttings and silica sand in drilling mud. Its wear resistance is 8-15 times that of ordinary quenching and electroplating processes, significantly extending the service life of components.

    2. Extremely Dense and Corrosion-Resistant:
With a porosity of <1%, there are no leakage channels, effectively blocking corrosive media such as oil and gas, drilling fluids, and saline water, preventing substrate rust and corrosion failure.

    3. Strong Bond and No Peeling:
The coating achieves a high-strength bond with the substrate, remaining resistant to peeling, cracking, and flaking even under high-pressure impact and high-frequency opening and closing conditions, ensuring maximum stability.

    4. Excellent High-Temperature Resistance:
It can operate continuously in environments ranging from -60℃ to +650℃ without softening or deformation, making it suitable for high-temperature oil and gas well operations.

    5. Controllable Dimensional Accuracy:
Precision spraying combined with subsequent fine grinding processes strictly guarantees the assembly accuracy of components, meeting the high-precision sealing requirements of petroleum machinery valve assemblies.

    6. Excellent Adaptability to Various Working Conditions
Simultaneously withstands multiple extreme working conditions including wear, corrosion, impact, and high temperatures, perfectly matching the core component requirements of oil drilling, mud pumps, and manifolds.

    7. Outstanding Overall Cost-Effectiveness
Reinforced components extend lifespan by 5-10 times, significantly reducing equipment maintenance and downtime replacement costs, and improving operational efficiency.
