Product Description
Pup Joint, also called tubing/casing short joint, is manufactured from seamless alloy steel tube in lengths shorter than standard full-length tubulars. Produced strictly per API Spec 5CT and API Spec 5B thread standards, it matches the same steel grade, wall thickness and thread form as regular tubing and casing.
It is widely applied during well completion and workover operations to fine-tune total string length, precisely position downhole tools like packers and pumps, and mark depth sections in boreholes.
We supply two main types: downhole tubing/casing pup joint and high-pressure surface flow line pup joint. The surface pup joint adopts integral forged steel body with anti-corrosion red coating, connected by hammer union for high-pressure well control manifolds. All pup joints come with plastic thread protectors, anti-rust thread compound and custom length support, stable under high pressure, hydrogen sulfide and seawater corrosive environments.
